To celebrate Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012, a network of 2,012 beacons are to lit by communities and individuals throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Commonwealth.

Wells Harbour Commissioners are considering joining in with the celebrations by organising a beacon to be on the quayside or opposite on the marsh.
